Author Interview with Crystal Cattabriga

Hey there, fellow Hooksters. Won't you join me in welcoming the supremely talented writer and author, Crystal Cattabriga to the Hook. I'm super-pumped to have her here.  Hi, Crystal! Please tell us a little bit about yourself & the novels you've had published...
First off, my full name is Crystal Vera Rose Louise Cattabriga. Yes, I do have three middle names. My parents couldn’t decide I guess. Born and raised in Massachusetts for 28 years until 2004, which I then moved to Georgia. I’ve been married for over ten years and have three beautiful children.
My first book that I had published is called ‘Shattered into Pieces’. This book is what pushed me to be an author. My second book is called ‘Saving Bobby’.
What genre do you prefer to write and why?
I mainly prefer to write Y/A fantasy books, but I have other books in the works that will lean towards romance.
Complete this sentence:  Nobody knows this about me, but I really love to...
(Eat Sno-Caps )
Do you have any writing rituals? Self-imposed rules?
Before sitting down to write, I must first make myself a cup of hot Lipton Tea. Then I grab Animal Crackers, Gram Crackers, or Cheese Crackers to munch on. There’s just something about crackers I apparently like. LOL Sometimes I may listen to music, but not too often though. I somehow seem to get distracted and find myself singing instead of writing.
Regarding writing, what one piece of advice do you consider most valuable?
I find that sometimes if I second guess myself too much I’ll never finish what I’ve started. My husband is always telling me to go with my gut. It’s a lesson I’ve learned over the years and for the most part it works.
What do you believe to be the high points of being a published author? What about the low points, if any?
I think the high point of being a publish author for myself is getting to know that I’ve inspired others and through my writing I try to make each day count for something.
What are you working on currently?
I’m just now wrapping up my first book in my three book series called ‘God Blessed the Broken Road.  Book One- Mariza’.
What is your favorite quote (any topic)?
“How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.”
You’re on a desert island, which three books (other than your own) would you have with you to read and re-read until you, hopefully, are rescued?
A Bible
Three Weeks with my Brother by Nicholas Sparks
Bobby and Jackie- A Love Story
How can we find you?

Check out her trailer for "Saving Bobby." I just read it and it's a wonderful, heartwarming tale filled with inspiring messages of hope and faith, not to mention a few surprises along the way.
